The Courtyard
A spacious, private courtyard welcomes visitors to Hale Honu. Complete with patio furniture, dipping pool and a hot tub, the courtyard is one of our favorite places to relax after a beach day. The kitchen is steps away, leavings snacks and libations within easy reach.
The view from the hot tub is, like all the views at Hale Honu, spectacular. Enjoy an ocean sunset while sipping a cocktail. Curl up with a novel on a lazy afternoon and listen to the waves crashing. We supply the surroundings...you make your own fun.
The Kitchen
The only way to describe the kitchen at Hale Honu is "gourmet." The appliances are all top of the line and, because we love to cook, we've supplied the kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal...from a simple snack to a sumptuous feast. And to top it all off, the stove and work area look out through the living room to the ocean view off the lanai.
Great Room (including Family, Dining and Media Room)
Just off the kitchen, the family room is a welcoming space for reading, kibbitzing, or just staring out the window at the view. Luxurious leather couches recline and comfortable swivel chairs allow guests to follow the action in the kitchen, the media room, the dining room or anywhere in between.
The sliding doors off the living room recess fully into the wall, opening the lanai to the entire kitchen, living and dining areas and providing an unparalleled oceanfront experience with ocean views on three sides.
Media Room
Located opposite the family room and on the north side of the dining room, our media room provides a cozy area for watching the latest movie on our flat-screen TV, rocking out to the Ipod player or simply hanging out with your friends. As in the family room, a comfortable leather loveseat reclines for naps or movie viewing.
At night, the couch can double as a pull-out bed for folks who don't want to climb the stairs to the bedrooms above. There is a full bath (commode, sink and shower) just off the media room near the entry way. Like all of our bathrooms, it comes fully equipped with spa-quality towels, hair dryers and beautiful stone flooring.
Kid's "Sandy Beach"
We don't have a photo of the acutal play area, but underneath Hale Honu, we've put in a sandbox for kids to play in the shade. We have also been known to have a hammock up for relaxing at ocean level, in the shade. Look underneath the lanai in this photo and you'll get an idea of the size of the area. This is also an excellent spot for hanging out and watching the sunset.
If you look in the middle-left side of the photo, you'll also see our outdoor shower. Wonderful for showering off after a beach day!
