Hale Honu (which means House of the Sea Turtle) takes its name of sea turtles that frequent nearby Kahalu'u Beach and the cove behind the house. Hale Honu has four bedrooms, including two spacious master suites. Each bedroom has a lanai with spectacular ocean view.
Built in 2004, Hale Honu welcomes you with a spacious courtyard, home to a dipping pool with cascading waterfalls and a 6' x 6' Jacuzzi with a spectacular ocean view. Ocean access from the house offers fishing and tide pool viewing. For the less adventuresome, lounge chairs and a sandy "kids beach" provide a relaxing setting for oceanfront play. After enjoying the ocean, guests can shower off in our tiled, outdoor shower.
Hale Honu boasts a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances. Cookware, bakeware, elegant barware...everything you need to prepare delicious meals to enjoy during the breathtaking sunsets from the lanai.
Bedrooms and baths are equally lush with gorgeous decorator floors, plush towels and spa-like surroundings. Since each room has its own lanai, the ocean lulls you to sleep each evening.

The house is located walking distance from two famous beaches:
Kahalu'u (less than a mile to the south)--excellent for snorkeling and surfing.
White Sands beach (about 1/2 mile to the north) has volleyball, a sandy beach and world class body surfing and body boarding.
Golf options on the Big Island include the Kona Country Club, less than 5 miles from the house.
Shopping, quality restaurants, and group snorkel, sailing or whale watching trips are all located within 5 miles from Hale Honu, making it an ideal home base.
